The Steering Committee coordinates all our activities...

The Steering Committee is responsible for the day to day activities and direction of the Global Health Gateway.  The Committee consists entirely of volunteers, and supported by a Board of Advisors and the huge contribution of our Volunteers.  We meet on the first Sunday of each month in Melbourne and via Skype wherever you are - visitors are welcome to attend.  If you would like to get involved please email volunteer@globalhealthgateway.org.au.

The Steering Committee is structured as five project teams and a central coordination team.  

Coordination & Volunteers

The central Coordination team is responsible for internal communications and resource allocation.  This includes coordinating meetings, strategic planning, overseeing team activities and resource allocation.  The internal communications officers are Melinda Egan & Rami Subhi (info@globalhealthgateway.org.au), and the volunteer coordinators are Sophie McEniry & Mariam Tokhi (volunteer@globalhealthgateway.org.au).

Content

The Content team coordinates all the informative and inspiring content that you find on the Global Health Gateway.  This includes coordinating the writing and review of articles, conducting interviews, sourcing global health vocational and training opportunities, moderating the forum, and organising the calendar.  The team is coordinated by Hamish Graham (content@globalhealthgateway.org.au).

Community Engagement

The Community Engagement team directs its activities toward two groups: (1) individual users who are interested in global health, and (2) organisations that are involved in global health work, volunteering and/or training.  Their work includes promotional activities, attending events, social media (Facebook, Twitter), building partnerships, and sending out newsletters.  The team is coordinated by Jenny Jamieson (jenny@globalhealthgateway.org.au) and Peter McGlynn (peter@globalhealthgateway.org.au)

Finance & Legal

The Finance and Legal team is responsible for coordinating all the financial and legal aspects of our activities as an incorporated non-profit association.  This includes sponsorship, money management, auditing, and requirements from Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV).  The team is coordinated byAmy Sinclair (treasurer@globalhealthgateway.org.au).

Web

The Web team is manages all things to do with the website, including domain, hosting, design, statistics, maintenance and updates.  The team is coordinated by Jane Li - Web coordinator (IT@globalhealthgateway.org.au).

Design

The Design team manages the Global Health Gateway image.  This includes logo, and design elements of the website, promotional material and formal documents.  The team is coordinated by Anthia Mirawidya (anthia@globalhealthgateway.org.au).
