Our Vision
A world in which all people are enabled to enjoy a healthy life with equitable access to health care.
Our Mission
To inspire and equip individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds to contribute as global citizens towards effective, appropriate and sustainable health improvements for humanity.
Our Objectives
- To provide a gateway and facilitate access to Global Health related events, education and work, as well as the sharing of ideas and opportunities at home and abroad.
- To develop a network and foster community between individuals and organisations who are interested in Global Health.
- To deliver resources that will educate and inspire individuals to engage with Global Health.
- To encourage dynamic interaction and debate amongst users within the Global Health Gateway and the wider community.
Our Beliefs
- Health is a fundamental Human Right, as recognised in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) and enshrined in the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (1976).
- Health For All is achievable for the current generation, and is both more urgent and attainable than when it was first proposed in the Declaration of Alma Ata (1978).
